Just wanted to try out the above howto. Now here are
GPL'ed Solaris packages for the i386 and SPARC systems.

install: /usr/local

dependency: glib-1.2, gtk-1.2 & gdk_pixbuf, zlib & png.

remarks: with support for ECAT7 writing, PNG and NIfTI
